Neils Life

A wild few days..

If you read the post below, you probably know that I went to see Dizzee Rascal and Prodigy live in Glasgow.

What an ammence gig!

Drove down on the Tuesday  morning early with 4 other people, pretty good fun driving down, stopped off for some food and carried on, then checked into our hotel and headed into Glasgow center for some shopping + drinks. Met up with some more people and made our way to the venue.

Got to the tube station and started a massive chant, everyone shouting P-R-O-D-I-G-Y constantly, got the mood going! Tube took 2 minutes then we made it into the venue, Dizzee Rascal was alright, but Prodigy were just incredible. We all went mad, what a show they put on!

After the gig we went back to our hotel room, ordered a takeway then headed to sleep. Woke up with very little sleep, grabbed breakfast, checked out and headed home. The drive was long and tiring, I only had one hour sleep and had to drive for 3, so knackering! We made it and when I got home, I had to go to work.

That shift was insane.

Last night (thursday night) I went out for a 22nd Birthday into town, what a night, drank too much and had such a good time. Didnt get home until 6am though, ha!

Until next time ;)

Im going to see..

Dizzee Rascal and Prodigy live in Glasgow next Tuesday.

Cant wait, should be a really good gig! Im going with 3 of my friends, driving down then going to stay at a hotel, then go shopping the next day!

I went to the interview for Camp America, it went really well, and I’m just waiting to hear back about a place on one of the camps. Really excited about it all, hopefully ill get placed!

Just now im just working as much as I can and living a happy life! I am really glad I decided to leave college. I used to dread college, and really didn’t enjoy it. Life without it (for me) has definitely improved! :)

Long time guys!

Well, its been a great few months and loads to tell, so keep reading!

End of January and February were great months, I managed to balance work, going to Orkney and college quite nicely. Every two weeks I would go up to Orkney for 7 – 10 days and stay with the girlfriend, has awesome times up there. I went by boat or flew, boat was generally cheaper and had some great times on the boat!

Start of March was a little rocky, me and the girlfriend broke up sadly, due to the distance, still have plans to go and see her in Easter though! I decided to finish college as it wasn’t for me and really didn’t enjoy the course I was on. I managed to get a good qualification out of it though!

We are now in mid March and currently I am working full-time at that hotel and getting as much money as possible so I can have a good summer. Working long hours is always fun! Quite excited to tell you guys that I may be working in America for a few months this Summer, then traveling for a month or so.

I am hopefully going with a company called Camp America which basically finds you a job in America. I am hopefully going to be working in one of the 900+ camps as a Leader which helps kids out and looks after them/taking them round different activities!

After that I am hoping to travel around a little, then come home for Christmas time.

Wish me luck guys, and hopefully ill be updating this blog more often now :)

Woops

…sorry for the lack of updates!

Well I have been having a great time, January has been an amazing month and I have memories to keep forever. First of all it was my 18th, bloody great!

January 17th me and a bunch of my friends went out into Aberdeen going to all the different pubs and clubs and got drunk. I had a great time and enjoyed myself. After all the pubs were closed we decided to hit the casino, great fun, but I lost £5.

Then I went off to Orkney again, I was planning on only going for 7 days, but managed to stay for 10. The reason I went to Orkney was because I went to see my girlfriend. I stayed at her flat for 7 days and had a great time! Was just amazing.

Then I decided to go to Thurso with her to help babysit, got the boat to Thurso for 3 days which again, was awesome fun! I left Thurso at 12:30 on Sunday for a long train journey half way down Scotland to Inverurie (7 hours on the Train).

I dont mind travelling for a long time, as long as I have my music then I am fine. Great views coming down Scotland, loads of wildlife aswell!

Febuary wont really be as exciting, I just plan to work work work.

New Year 2008 + more!

…its been a long time, but ive been busy!

Most of you guys know I went to Orkney with some friends who live there to celebrate New Year. I went for 6 days and had the most amazing time, I was slightly unsure whether I should go or not, but my parents and brother persuaded me! So glad I went.

I flew up which took a nice 40 minutes, arrived in Kirkwall and was picked up by friends, taken to a huge house and had my tea there. I got to travel around Orkney, see all the sights and get some amazing photos (at the end of this post). Went out on the 30th of December round the pubs in Orkney, great time!

Then the 31st I went to a house party and had an awesome time! Went to bed about 8:30am on January the 1st, had to wake up at 11 or something to go and see The Orkney Ba (http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Kirkwall_Ba_game) I’m not going to describe it, go check out that link.

Was great! Spent the last few days just chilling out, then got the boat home. 7 hours – not cool!

Some bad news; my car decided to break, the clutch has broke and its in the garage now. Its also getting its MOT which I am dreading, because its quite an old car. January is going to be an expensive month!

I have purchased an iPod Classic 120GB also, so I can carry all my music around!

IM 18 IN 4 DAYS!
